Hoarders

I guess by now everyone knows that my mother and sister and I were on Hoarders. If you googled my name and found this site, well hey. How are you?

Stumble it!

I want to give you all the hugs.

  2. Jason Says:

Well thanks. I guess I’d take them.

  3. Scarlet Says:

You seem so much more interesting in your blog, and to think I only researched you because you are by far the most attractive man I have seen in a very long time. It was a very nice thing you did for your mom.

  4. Jason Says:

Thanks Scarlet. You’re not too bad looking yourself.

  5. Scarlet Says:

now you made me blush lol.

  6. Jason Says:

Well, that’s what I do. Jason “Makes People Blush” Brunet, they used to call me in college.

  7. Shontell Says:

I agree. It was a very nice thing that you did. Good to see your face again. I always thought you had the sweetest voice. At first I thought, hmmm..that looks like..and as soon as I heard your voice I knew it was you. My grandma was a hoarder. Good thing she could only afford a trailor, I can only imagine what she would have done with a house. We’ve all got em. ;)

  8. Scarlet Says:

Thats funny, they call me Shy Scarlet, mostly because I was fairly shy *shocker* I would definately never post on a strange mans blog telling him hes cute. Oh wait, I guess a lot of people would be suprised.

  9. Jason Says:

    Is that Shontell Chiasson?

Yes, a lot of people would be surprised to know that someone thinks I’m cute!

  10. Shontell Says:

Shontell Chiasson err Forrest it is. :)

  11. Scarlet Says:

I doubt that very much. Then again its not like Im actively trying to hide my opinion.

  12. Jason Says:

Hey Shontell. You still in the PNW? Have you heard my musics!!? I want you to!

Scarlet: tee hee! My ego loves you.

  13. Heather Says:

Hi Jason! I just got finished watching the show with your Mom and I wanted to search for you online. I thought that took great courage and I was so proud of what you, your sister and the whole crew did for your Mom! I hope she is doing good and continues to get the in-home treatment they are providing for her. Positive thoughts and well wishes to you and your family.. (P.S. Wanna be friends on myspace?) =)

  14. Scarlet Says:

Aww thats so sweet. I think.

  16. Jason Says:

    Thanks you guys!

Heather, I will accept your friend request when I get home. MySpace is blocked at work!

You know Jason, you’re my man. Seriously. :) Do you hear what I hear?

  18. Carole Moon Says:

Hi Jason! I watched the show last night and I have to applaud you for coming out to help your Mother, even though you said you had no emotional attachment to her. You said you did it out of moral obligation, which I thoroughly get. You reminded me very much of my brother who says he hates our parents because they did nothing but abuse us as children. He refuses to do even the minimum for our Mother and I understand that. Hoarding is a mental illness, but your Mother has other huge issues, such as not being able to accept responsibility for her own actions and the damage she inflicted on both you and your sister. She’s certainly not going to change at her age. All you’re going to be able to do is respect her as the woman who birthed you, and LIVE WELL!

  19. Jason Says:

Thanks Carole. I’m happy that you understand where I’m coming from. I’ve been accused of hating my mother, which is not the case. I just have no warm fuzzies about her, which to me is perfectly reasonable.

I’m sorry you came from an abusive situation. Thank you for sharing with me.

  20. Shontell Says:

Reminds me of how I feel about my mother. I don’t hate her I just don’t feel anything for her. There was a time when her actions hurt me deeply but you just get numb after a while. Anyway, I’m still here in WA. I’d love to hear your musics! Where can I?

  21. Jason Says:

We should get together! I’m living in Lynnwood now.

    My musics are at www.thesixtyone.com/threeninjas

  22. Cathy Says:

Jason, I sent you a private email. As many have told you, I was so impressed with you last night. You are a young man to be proud of.

I look forward to hearing from you!

  23. Beth Says:

Jason, I did indeed google you today after watching the show last night. I just wanted to say how totally impressed I was with you. It is amazing that such a sensitive and articulate person as you could come from such a situation. I have hoarders in my family too, as well as disengaged family members, so I know what that’s like. I did not like the way your mother talked to you when she first saw you after four years, but that sort of relating sounded familiar to me. I also realize that I was looking at edited television, so I shouldn’t pass quick judgment on her. But I hope you are proud of the person you have become and are becoming and I pray blessings for you and your future.

  24. Jason Says:

    Hey Beth, thanks very much.

The actual unedited conversation with my mom was a bit different, and in my unqualified opinion, would have made better television. We said hello, and the very first thing she said was, “Do you have a girlfriend?” I said no. “When are you moving back?” I said I wasn’t. And then a 15 minute story about her cats…

  25. sarah Says:

Here’s another girl who googled you after seeing the show. Looks like I’m one in a long line. Love your blog. Live in Oregon or I’d suggest drinks.
    Cheers!
    Sarah

  26. J Says:

Ha, I love your post because that is exactly what happened and exactly how I got here! Wish you well! Stay strong! You are a great person. Love the site!

  27. BethRD Says:

Hi Jason, just wanted to chime in and say that it was pretty inspiring thing to see you on the show. I hope your life isn’t too crazy now that it has aired!

  28. Jason Says:

Thanks Beth! It’s not much crazier than it was before.

  29. Taisha Says:

Where is Dinosaur and Zombie Woodrow Wilson NOW? I see how loyal people are now that the stakes have been raised. I WILL NEVER ABANDON YOU, JASON. Well, probably not, anyway.

Oh, and if Admiral Akbar ever decides to show up: It’s a trap.

  30. Jason Says:

Thanks for keeping things sane around here Taisha.

  31. Zombie Woodrow Wilson Says:

I found you through the TV. The TV on the internet. And you are a big love for meeeee.

  32. Madeleine Says:

Jason, you’re amazing! Thanks for sharing your story.
    That sounds trite.
I’d like to see you and your poncho again.
    Bye.

  33. Jason Says:

“You are a big love for me” is the new “I love you”.

  34. Vickie Hay Says:

    Hello Jason…

I watched the show this evening and searched you out so I could tell you how much I admired your intelligence and grace. You are a young man with a bright and promising future. You have a clear vision of who you are as a man, and considering your young age, that is remarkable.

Good luck and stay your path.

  35. Jordan Says:

Yo man. I’m tight with one of your pals, Ron. We play music together and he used to be my boss. I thought you were so awesome on Hoarders. What a ridiculously tough situation. I definitely understand the feeling of ‘needing to do the right thing’ in the situation.

Keep rockin’ dude. Maybe we can play some shows. I think you know my friend Jake too.

    Small world.

  36. Jason Says:

Thanks Jordan! I do know Ron and Jake. They are good people, and Jake is the best smelling person I’ve ever met.

  37. Jean Says:

Just caught your Hoarders episode. My sister was a hoarder but we didn’t know until she died and we had to clean the house out, and so I can relate just a bit to what you went through. Your attitude and handling of the situation was all class. Even though I don’t know you, I have a feeling you are a great guy. I think crappy childhoods create more good people than prep school and piano lessons.

Best of luck to you and your family…

  38. Thomas Says:

    Jason,

Just saw the show and I was just devastated for you. I’m just so happy you are so well (healthy) with it all. God I almost cried, and that takes some doing.

You are an amazing gifted person. I wish you all the best in life… you deserve it.

    Thomas
