Yeah, Haeckel Blew It
The Creationists are basically right about Ernst Haeckel. He did fudge on the similarities of vertebrate embryos in his famous woodcarving.
But his basic principle was still true: vertebrate embryos are remarkably similar. To illustrate this, I’d like someone to tell me what animals these embryos represent:
