Hilarious Creationist Quotes

This one was sent in by Geoff, as I am on the road.  It’s a quote within a quote, so feel free (if you dare) to view the source link for context.

“get_education said… Evolution has done such amazing things, yep. However, it would not make any sense to worship evolution. It is a natural phenomenon. It would be like worshiping gravity.”

G_E . . . you are forgetting that you believe that evolution created gravity (over time). Evolution is the creator, and gravity is part of creation. That’s what you believe. Isn’t it? [Source]

you are forgetting that you believe that Taisha’s Birthday created presents (over time). Taisha’s Birthday is the creator, and presents are part of creation. That’s what you believe. Isn’t it?

    That’s what everybody should believe.

  2. Other Jason Says:

(you are forgetting that you believe…) == (you are forgetting the asinine and completely irrational assumptions I have made about your world view)

  3. Jason Says:

The thing that gets me is that this has been explained to Ray hundreds of times in the comments on his blog. He should know better. If ever I wanted proof that he is a liar, this is it. I seriously get the impression that the person playing Ray died, and they replaced him with someone brand new, and we have to start over.

  4. Other Jason Says:

I just really can’t wrap my mind around that concept: evolution created gravity. How would that even work? It’s like he thinks that evolution is the god of science and all other scientific concepts and rules were created by it. I really don’t understand how one could even come to this conclusion.

If this were the case though, would science be the first religion with a set of concepts as a god? Or even a completely abstract pantheon? I can’t think of any others that have non-humanoid deities, let alone abstracts.

  5. Jason Says:

Well, these guys are constantly claiming that evolution is just as much a religious belief as Creationism.

  6. Mr. Spider Says:

In the beginning, there was nothing, then evolution said “CHANGE!” and crap started falling down…something something….fish turned into a rooster…blah blah…monkey turned into man….and it was good.

  7. Jason Says:

That’s literally the extent of most creationist knowledge of the theory of evolution.

  8. Geoff Says:

    I worship the water cycle.
