Justin Timberlake: Surprised By a River

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

A lot of people don’t realize this, but Justin Timberlake releases different versions of his songs for the Australian market than the ones we hear in the United States. The differences are usually slight, but they are meaningful to Justin’s Aussie fans.

For instance, his US hit “Cry Me a River” was released as “Crikey! A River!” in Australia. Anyone should know that. Similarly, the song we Americans know as “SexyBack” was released as “SexyOutBack”. The 2007 single “Falling Down”, featuring Duran Duran, was released as “Falling Down Under” in Australia.

Now you can impress your Australian friends and feel closer to them!

Roadtrip 2007 | Day 3: The Redwood Forest

Monday, November 5th, 2007

In the July month of 2007, my wife and I took a road trip from Seattle, WA to San Diego, CA with stops in between.

This is Day 3. We woke up in the Redwood Forest and spent most of the day driving through it. It was incredibly amazing. There were some amazing views of the ocean, and we passed a place called Trees of Mystery that had a large wooden reproduction of Remington’s “End of the Trail” (I HATE that statue). We didn’t go into Trees of Mystery, though I kind of wish we had. We did drive through a redwood tree though. Just like you see on postcards.

After leaving the Redwood Forest, we ate lunch in a restaurant located on a pier, and in the water under the pier were several harbor seals. I was amazed. We passed a shop called Legend of Bigfoot where I bought some redwood seedlings and some live burls, some of which are still alive! We drove down California 1, which was very, very winding. I got kind of nauseated during parts of it, and the whole thing was very slow-going.

We slept in a hotel in Petaluma, CA, a place devoid of non-chain restaurants. Blech.

Rabbit Update

Monday, November 5th, 2007

On Friday night we had some friends over who wanted to see how strongly a rabbit can desire sugar. Our rabbit, Mr. Foofee, loves sweets, but they’re not good for him, so we occasionally give him a couple of yogurt snacks made for rabbits.

He goes nuts.

I know, the video is too long, and there’s a horrible static noise in the background, caused by my dumb cambra. If anyone knows of a free .MOV editor, let me know.

This Website Has Finally Changed

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Welp, it looks very different, I guess. Now it will be a lot easier for me to update, so hopefully I’ll be doing it a lot more often. Can you please pray that I update a lot more often?

A very special thanks to my friend Kambrie for helping with the layout. Good job. You did the right thing.

All of the old stuff is still around. You can view the old blog posts here, and the old articles here.
