The Death of a Dear Friend
On Saturday, September 15, 2007, my beloved pet, friend, and child, Gato, passed away from the respiratory ailments that had been plaguing her for so long. I love her and miss her very much. She lived for almost 3 years, which is a lot for a rat; she’s lived on both coasts of the United States; she was a Hurricane Katrina evacuee; and she’s flown on a plane. Not many pet rats get to fly on planes.These are some photos of Gato during the first month that we had her in March and April of 2005.
